London School of Business and Finance: What You Need to Know

If you’ve been researching UK business schools, you’ve probably come across the London School of Business and Finance, or LSBF. It shows up in searches for MBAs, ACCA courses, and online postgraduate degrees, but the name alone doesn’t tell you much. Here’s what the school actually offers, who it suits, and what to check before applying.

What Is LSBF?

LSBF is a private business school founded in 2003 and based in London. It’s part of Global University Systems (GUS), a network of higher-education providers operating across several countries. The school runs campuses at 30 Holborn and Moorgate in London, plus a location in Singapore, and it draws students from well over 150 countries.

Unlike a traditional university, LSBF focuses almost entirely on business, finance, and management education, split across professional qualifications, undergraduate degrees, postgraduate programs, executive education, and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).

Accreditation: What’s Actually Verified

This is where a lot of prospective students get confused, so it’s worth being precise. As of 2026, LSBF’s own site lists its accreditations as the British Accreditation Council (BAC) and CPD certification, with memberships in AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the Business Graduates Association, and Advance HE.

Membership isn’t the same thing as full accreditation. AACSB membership, for instance, is a step toward accreditation, not the accreditation itself. If a specific credential (AMBA, EQUIS, or degree-awarding powers) matters for your career plans or immigration status, confirm the current status directly with LSBF’s admissions team or on the relevant accrediting body’s own website before enrolling.

Programs on Offer

Undergraduate: BSc (Hons) in Business Administration and Financial Management, including top-up routes for students with existing credits. These run 100% online.

Postgraduate: A Global MBA, an MBA in Business Innovation and Change Management, an MSc in Finance and Investments, an MSc in Strategic Marketing, a Master of Public Health, and several postgraduate certificates. Most are delivered fully online.

Professional qualifications: LSBF is a well-known provider for ACCA training, along with AAT courses, and offers combined tracks like ACCA plus a Global MBA.

Executive education and DBA: Short courses, an executive miniMBA, leadership and management development programs, and a DBA aimed at working professionals researching real business problems. LSBF recently set up a progression pathway with the University of Niagara Falls, Canada, for DBA applicants.

Who LSBF Actually Suits

LSBF leans heavily toward working professionals and international students who want flexible, career-focused study rather than a traditional campus experience. If you want a fully online MBA and you can fit around a job, or you’re training for ACCA exams with structured support, this is the kind of school built for that. If you’re chasing a highly ranked, research-heavy MBA with a large residential cohort, it’s worth comparing LSBF against more traditional, campus-first institutions before deciding.

Fees and Practical Considerations

Costs vary widely by program and delivery mode (online tends to run cheaper than on-campus), so check the fees page for your specific course rather than relying on a single number. The same goes for entry requirements: professional courses like ACCA have different prerequisites than the postgraduate degrees.
