If you play Kingdoms of Heckfire, you’ve probably seen a screen full of lightning bolts before you even know what hit your city. That’s Stormface, one of the game’s PvP-focused dragons, and he’s built almost entirely around Grasslands raiding.

Here’s what he actually does and whether he’s worth your dragon shards.

What Is Stormface?

That specialization matters. In Heckfire, dragons tend to shine in one biome and struggle outside it, and Stormface is a clear example. Load him up expecting a general-purpose fighter, and he’ll disappoint. Point him at grassy terrain and he starts to make sense.

Stormface’s Core Abilities

Stormface’s passive bonuses stack around raiding, plundering, and speed:

Expert Raider: Boosts Pug Riders and Wild Pug Riders, so your fastest raiding troops hit harder.
Epic Grasslands Raider: Increases PvP attack power against cities built on Grasslands tiles.
Grasslands Plunderer: Improves attacks on resource nodes sitting on grassland terrain, useful for contesting gold or food tiles.
Epic Lava Raider: Adds attack power on Lava tiles too, giving him a secondary use case outside his main biome.
Grassland Shrine Specialist: Strengthens both attack and defense on Grassland shrines specifically.
Swift Attacker: Speeds up your march when attacking cities, meaning less time for the target to prep defenses or call for reinforcements.

Put together, this is a dragon for players who are actively raiding, not turtling. If your kingdom sits on or near Grasslands and you like hitting nodes or weaker neighbors, Stormface earns his keep quickly.

Is Stormface Worth Investing In?

This is where opinions split. Some players in the community pushed back when Stormface launched, arguing the game already had plenty of PvP dragons and wanted more resource-boosting options instead. That’s a fair critique if your kingdom leans defensive or economy-focused.

But if you’re a raider sitting in Grasslands territory, or you regularly fight over gold and food nodes, Stormface’s bonuses stack in a way few other dragons match. He’s not a dragon you build “just in case.” He’s a dragon you build because your playstyle already matches what he does.

The honest answer: don’t rank him up just because he’s new. Rank him up if raiding Grasslands is already part of your strategy.
